The defender Luiz Alberto was 16 years old when the first time, defended the senior team Flamengo. Despite this, and having played some matches in 1995, the centennial year, it was only after 1997, when he turned twenty year old defender who took over ownership of the back four red and black.
He starred alongside the likes of Junior Baiano and shiv, but a contemporary of Juan, one of the hottest quarterbacks in the country, he was with that Luiz Alberto formed a duo almost unbeatable, especially after 1999 when the team came back to win a Carioca championship after three years of fasting, and the Copa Mercosur.
It was in Fla for almost ten years, during which he played 167 times and scored 5 goals. In 2000, however, with the arrival of a real constellation, the quarterback who's that time had already won the championship in Rio, eventually giving way to none other than the Paraguayan defender Gamarra and did not hesitate to accept a proposal from Saint Etienne to perform the dream of working in Europe.
In the Old Continent, Luiz Alberto defended beyond the French team, also Real Sociedad in Spain, where incidentally, he served on two occasions, the first between 2001 and 2002 and the second aentre 2004 and 2005. However, between his stints at Spanish club, Luiz still wore the colors of Internacional of Porto Alegre and also Atletico MG, where as evidenced by the Digital Encyclopedia Rooster made 63 appearances and scored 5 goals.
Later still defended Luiz Alberto Santos between 2005 and 2006, returning in 2007 to Rio de Janeiro, now to defend the historic red-black rival, Fluminense. The passage of the rival defender Fla., after all, was intense. There has won the Brazil Cup in 2007 and reached the final of the Libertadores Cup 2008, but in 2009 got out the back door when Fluminense lived a delicate moment in the Brazilian Championship won by Fla.
In the 2010 season, after getting off the Flu, Luiz Alberto landed a contract with a traditional Argentine club Boca Juniors, however, little was in Buenos Aires, and even in May of that year he returned to Brazil, where opportunity awaits.
On 20 April 2010 Boca Juniors released the Brazilian central defender by mutual consent.[2]
